Michael J. Vannelli, 90, of Johnston, died on July 7, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hospice Center. He was the husband of Carole A. (Rogler) Vannelli. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Domenic and Victoria (Macaruso) Vannelli.
Michael worked at Citizens Bank for 40 years, retiring in 1996. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the VFW. He loved golfing, wintering in Ft. Myers, FL, gardening, and watching his favorite sports teams, the New England Patriots and the Providence College Friars.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael D. Vannelli and his wife, Michele, and Stephen D. Vannelli and his wife, Cheryl, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his sister, Caroline Norato. He was the brother of the late Stella Tria.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 10-11 am, followed by a service at 11 am in the Robbins Funeral Home, 2251 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park.
