Michael Paul Waldroff, age 65, of Bismarck, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on May 30, 2025. Born on February 22,1960, in Lynwood, California, he was the beloved son of Welcome Ernie Waldroff and Ruby Pauline Waldroff.
A life defined by faith, service, and love, Mike gave his heart to the Lord on April 6, 1969, at Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Gardena, California, and was baptized just three days later, on April 9, 1969, by his grandfather, Gilford R. Shuffield.
Mike graduated from Ouachita High School in 1978 and dedicated many years of hard work to International Paper Company and Central Heat and Air. He was known for his integrity, strong work ethic, and quiet reliability.
A devoted member of Caney Missionary Baptist Church since August 26, 1990, Mike faithfully served in the church choir, his Sunday School class, and on the maintenance team. His dedication to his church family was unwavering, and he brought warmth and strength to every role he filled.
Mike lived a life rich with passion for the outdoors and creativity. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, sculpting, and beekeeping. He had a servant’s heart—always ready to lend a hand—and a deep, enduring love for his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and the ways he quietly made life better for all those around him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernie Waldroff and grandson Justun River Matthews.
Mike leaves behind his loving mother, Pauline Waldroff of Malvern; his sisters Cynthia Fena (Fred) of Granbury, Texas, Annette Samples of Maui, Hawaii, and Karen Waldroff of Little Rock, Arkansas; his cherished children, Whitney Graham (Matt) and Eric Waldroff (Alicia), both of Malvern; and his adored grandchildren, Rease Matthews, Riley Matthews, Jacob Graham, Vanessa Graham, Zane Hathcock, and Hattie Waldroff—all of Malvern; and his fiancée of 24 years, Paula Paul of Malvern. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 5–7 PM at Atkinson’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 11 AM at Caney Missionary Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Graham, Zane Hathcock, Fred Fena, Travis Jumper, Jake Fields, and Tyler Whitley.
Though he has left this earthly home, Mike’s legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Online condolences can be made at www.atkinsonfunerlahome.net
