Ruby Carroll Kemp Bowman

Ruby Carroll Kemp Bowman, born on January 25, 1949, in Malvern, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her hometown on January 23, 2026. She was a devoted member of the Butterfield Missionary Baptist Church, where she found community and support throughout her life.

Ruby is survived by her two children, Dennis (Gina) Bowman and Sharon (Allen) Hughes. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Monica (Jessie) Roop, Cody Hughes, Johnny Hughes, Katie Hughes, and Chevy Bowman. Ruby also took great joy in being a great grandmother to Briana Hughes, Cadan Hughes, Davien Yingling, Piper Yingling, and Tatum Bowman, and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Bowman, her parents Owen and Linnie Kemp, a daughter, Jan Bowman, and a great grandson, Torin Bowman.

A visitation will be held in her honor on February 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home-Chapel, 126 East 2nd Street, Malvern, Arkansas. The funeral service will take place the following day, February 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the Atkinson Funeral Home-Chapel with Brother Bobby Goodnight officiating.

Pallbearers include Cody Hughes, Cadan Hughes, Johnny Hughes, Davien Yingling, Allen Hughes, Dennis Bowman, and Jesse Yingling.
