Michael Walker Obituary
Mic was born on October 22, 1940, to Marion LeRoy and Stella Helena (Rutt) Walker in Beatrice, NE. He moved to Missouri with his family when he was eight years old.
Mic loved hard work from an early age, helping with the livestock on the family farm. As he got older, he worked odd jobs for neighbors earning cash to help out at home.
At the age of 25, Mic moved to Liberty, MO to manage a farm. Later moving to Winchester, KS to manage a cattle ranch. When Mic moved back to Huntsville, he worked for Ryals packing Plant, then started R & W Fencing in 1979. He owned and operated it until his retirement in 2024.
Mic is survived by his wife, Carla Walker; his brother, Joel Walker (Sondra); his son, Matt Walker (Kerri); daughters Amy (John), Tanya (Jake), Jessica, and Rachael; step-sons Isaac and Lucas (Jes); step-daughters Amanda (Jason) and Cheyenne (Zach); along with grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Craig, sister LaRhea, and daughter Tamra.
Mic's quick wit, kindness and firm handshake will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Saturday December, 27, 2025, from 1 to 3 pm at the Patton Funeral Home in Huntsville, MO. Memorial donations can be made to the Fort Henry Cemetery Association.
