Michael Todd Watson

Michael Todd Watson was born at St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick New Jersey on December 17,1942.
He attended elementary school in Manalapan Township Public School; and High School at Freehold Regional High School, Freehold, New Jersey. As a young adult Michael,(known to most as "Toddy" or "Mike"),joined the Air Force as a "First Class Airman". He was deployed to San Antonio Texas for training where he married his 1st wife. From that union, 3 children were born; Benita, Jacquelyn and Michelle. Michael spent time abroad with his family in London England. After completion of 2 terms, He was honorably discharged receiving a Good Conduct medal with the ranking of Sergeant. He then returned back to the states.
Throughout the years, Michael worked for Mack Trucks until he retired. He was an energetic Man. He was not the type of person to sit still. He went on to work for Johnson & Johnson and then worked for Rutgers University where he retired for the second time.
Michael had many hobbies. He Loved the martial arts and Bruce Lee movies. He was also a big fan of Star Trek...(yes He was a "Trekky"); But his passion was race cars. He spent endless hours at Englishtown raceway and was a dedicated member of the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association). Mike was a social Man; He loved his clubs. He was a member of the 10"s Enough social club.
Michael made his home in New Brunswick New Jersey later in life, where he met his 2nd wife Lauren. They spent 25 years together and were married for 20 years. Lauren was a dedicated and devoted wife to the very end!
He is preceded in death by his Mother Martha Watson, His Father Joseph Jones; His Grandmother Isabelle Watson, his favorite Aunt Dorothy Watson, His 2 Uncles William (Billy) Watson and John H. Watson; and a bonus Daughter Akeba Sadler-Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife Lauren Watson(New Brunswick, NJ); His Sister Joan Gant(Freehold, NJ);3 Daughters: Benita Watson,(Brick, NJ),Jacquelyn Watson-Darby (Tampa, FL),and Michelle Watson(Lakewood,NJ);3 Step Children: Andrea Grover (New Brunswick NJ), Douglas Grover (Silver Spring MD, Jessica Grover( Silver Spring MD),2 Bonus Daughters, Stashima (Eddie)Daniels (Somerset,NJ); Anika Allen(West Palm Beach, FL);17 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and a Host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends.
