Michael Wesley Obituary

Michael is the beloved husband of 44 years to the late Yvonne (d. 2022). Loving father of Lauren (Jeff) Menna and David (Jena) Wesley. Grandpa to his grandchildren Aiden, Kate, Will, Camden, Graham and Keaton. He is survived by his siblings Gary (Mary Lou) Wesley, Linda Wesley, and Sharon Williams. Dear companion of Christine Lorimer. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Mike was fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He was generous man with his time and talents, always ready to help a friend with a project or build a custom wooden gift. He loved spending time outdoors - relaxing on the water, chatting around a fire pit, and waiting to spot a deer on Opening Day.
Mike loved telling stories. He captivated his audience in a way that had you waiting for the punch line even if you heard the story ten times before. He always had all the answers and had the patience to teach anyone. And he never did anything halfway. Why get a 2-person tent when a 12-person tent is better? Go big or go home!
Friends and family may visit Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 340 N. Pontiac Trail, Walled Lake on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Michael's life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the Uptown Grille, 3100 E. West Maple Road, Commerce Township. Open house, dress casual. All are welcome.
Memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital appreciated.

For many years Mike was my guest along with his sidekick Tim Everhard at my secret honey hole where there were plenty of ducks and geese; many fell to Mike´s great skill as a shotgunner. We had a lot of good times including going to Colorado to Elk hunt, fly fishing trips, and just passing the time with funny stories. He will be missed and remembered.

Went to the Troy Hilton with Mike for an "ALL YOU CAN EAT" lobster dinner. After 5 or 6 they told Mike "that´s it, you´re done". Mike says but, but and they said sir we need to keep a few for other diners! I think he could have eaten a few more, which he agreed he could have. Great fun and a great friend.
