Michael Wibberg Obituary

65, was called home to Heaven on August 5, 2025 at the Hubbard Hospice House, following a long illness.

He is survived by his loving wife Nina Kay Wibberg, daughter Megan Warner (Travis), granddaughters Haylie Brooks (Zane) and Camryn Warner, step son Matthew Taylor (Dani), 3 step grandchildren, siblings Joann Pritt, Cheri Lamb, Jackie Bowen (Eric), John Wibberg (Lisa), several nieces and nephews, his forever best friend and cousin Vernon Wibberg (Diane), and his four-legged buddies RJ and Abby.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Wibberg and Mary Jo Hederi Wibberg, brother David Wibberg, sister-in-law Margaret Wibberg, and brothers-in-law Steve Pritt and Tom Lamb.

Mike was born in Charleston, WV where he graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School. After high school he moved to Missouri where he worked in construction and had his daughter. Mike then moved back to Charleston where he was employed by AT&T for 19 years. After the closing of AT&T, he became an entrepreneur, opening his own business and owning several rental properties. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his cousin Vern, traveling, and WVU football. Mike was a very generous person, always willing to help others in times of need.

A service to honor the life of Mike will be held at Higher Ground Church, 702 Hansford Street St Albans, WV 25177 on Saturday, August 9th at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 12pm-1pm.

The family would like to give a special thank you to his neighbors Harlan and Sharon White, Pastor David Bragg, and the staff at CAMC Memorial Hospital and Hubbard Hospice House.
