Michael Lee Wilson, age 66, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on February 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, passion, and joy. He was born to Robert and Helen Wilson on June 15, 1957, in Neosho, MO, and graduated from Neosho High School in 1975. Continuing his education, Mike attended Crowder College and later SMSU, where he earned his degree in Animal Science. Driven by his love for agriculture, Mike became a self-employed dairy farmer, and founder of Mi-Wil Farms, a profession he cherished until his retirement. Following his retirement from farming, he found fulfillment in his work at Neosho MFA. Mike's commitment to the agricultural community was profound, evidenced by his membership in the Missouri Jersey Cattle Club and the National and Missouri Holstein Association for over 40 years. As an avid cattleman, Mike derived immense joy from breeding and exhibiting dairy cattle. He dedicated his time to coaching dairy judging teams and judging numerous cattle shows. A staunch supporter of the FFA and Booster Club, Mike's influence extended far beyond his immediate circle. Beyond his agricultural pursuits, Mike was a devoted baseball fan, with a particular passion for the St. Louis Cardinals. One of the highlights of his life was throwing the opening pitch at a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium. Known for his sense of humor, Mike was a beloved jokester who knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. In 1979, Mike married the love of his life, Tina Green, in San Mateo, CA, and she survives him. He is also survived by his children Shannon Kleiboeker and husband Jared, Kim Grewe and husband Brandon, and Scott Wilson and wife Jenna, as well as his cherished grandchildren Colton, Cobie, Brynn, Kason, Kimber, and Elijah. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service to honor Mike's life will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church in Neosho, with a visitation to follow until 7:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held following visitation, the location will be announced at the service. Contributions in memory of Mike can be made to the Shriner's Club, 215 Radio Dr. Ste 100, Woodbury, MN 55125.
