Michael Joseph "Mike" Winsky

Michael (Mike) Joseph Winsky, beloved father, son, husband, uncle, brother, and friend, passed peacefully to his home in Heaven on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

He exemplified love in all his actions and approached every relationship with warmth, humor, and compassion. An avid Oklahoma Sooners, Texas A&M Aggies, and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Mike never missed an opportunity to attend or watch games with his family, friends, or Sigma Chi fraternity brothers. Mike enjoyed golfing with friends from the Gleannloch community and fraternity brothers, especially during OU–Texas weekend and on trips around the country.

In his final days, as visitors filled his room, a nurse observed with wonder, "Man, this man is loved." Mike's legacy is carried on through his three children Olivia, Jacob, and Justin, and cherished wife, Rachelle. He is also survived by his mother, Joyce Gekeler; father, Joseph Winsky and his wife Rey; sister, Cherie Hoepfl; mother-in-law, Linda Brown; brother-in-law, Jerod Brown; nieces, Brooke and Jessica; and nephew, Zachary Hoepfl.

Please join Mike's family at his memorial service on Thursday, January 8, at 3:00 p.m. The service and reception will be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 5830 Bermuda Dunes Drive, Houston, Texas 77069.
