Michael F. Wirthlin, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on December 31, 1954, Michael dedicated his life not only to his family but also to the practice of law and community service.
A respected partner at Beirne & Wirthlin Law Office, Michael's career was marked by his commitment to justice and the well-being of others. His leadership extended beyond his professional endeavors as he served as a board member and president of The Cincinnati Kidney Foundation, making a meaningful impact in the lives of many in his community.
Michael’s personality shone through in his very sarcastic sense of humor, which brought laughter and joy to those around him. He had a unique ability to give people affectionate nicknames and took great pleasure in helping others without seeking recognition. Family was always his priority; he dedicated himself to creating lasting memories with his loved ones.
In his leisure time, Michael found joy in golfing and building puzzles with his grandkids, Braden and Tucker. He treasured his travels with his beloved wife, Janet Wirthlin (nee Blessing), sharing countless adventures that enriched their lives together. One of Michael's favorite destinations was Door County, Wisconsin and his yearly trips with his friends from "The Study Group".
Michael is also survived by his children, Andrew (Heather) Wirthlin, Allison Wirthlin, and Alexander (Lindsay) Wirthlin. He was a loving brother to J. Stephen Wirthlin Jr., Linda (Jeffrey) Tate, and Patricia (Gus) Heath. Additionally, he left behind many nieces and nephews who will continue to celebrate his legacy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238. A Mass in his honor will take place on March 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory, 810 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, OH 45233, where friends and family can gather to pay their respects. Memorials may be made in his name to Janie Lazarow Schwartz Fund (Kidney Transplant).
