Michael Dwayne Wissman, 64, of Cole Camp, MO, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on September 30, 1960, in Sedalia, the son of Jacob John Wissman and Maurine (Taylor) Wissman, who preceded him in death.
On November 10, 1979, in Sedalia, MO, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Craig, who survives at the home.
Mike was a proud graduate of La Monte High School, Class of 1978. He began his career at Pittsburg Corning, later known as Owens Corning, where he worked faithfully for nearly 39 years, holding a variety of roles over the decades.
A true outdoorsman, Mike found great joy in hunting, fishing, and training his dogs for the hunt. He also had a passion for horseback trail riding and spent many memorable years showing horses alongside his children in 4-H horse shows. More than anything, Mike cherished time spent with his grandchildren and rarely missed an opportunity to support them at their sporting events.
In addition to his beloved wife Mary, Mike is survived by two children: Kevin Wissman of Cole Camp, MO, and Kelly Wissman (Joe Bell) of Lincoln, MO; seven grandchildren: Michael, Paige, Kylee, Levi, Jake, Emma, and Grayson; two sisters: Cynthia Lowry (Norman) of Warsaw, and Sandy Blankenship (Don) of Houstonia; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Brandt officiating.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
