Michael Yeaw, affectionately known to many as "Yeawzer," passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Born on June 1, 1963, in Waukegan, Illinois, Michael lived a life defined by passion, resilience, and an unwavering love for those closest to him. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lynda Hale; his uncle, Mike Yeaw; and his son, Robert Bozarth.

Michaël is survived by his devoted wife, Deborah Yeaw; his children, Michael (Lisa) Yeaw and Teresa (Brandi) Yeaw; grandchildren, Kyle and Alissa, Haylee, Lyndon, William, Colin, Dillon. 2 great grandchildren. Sister, Daun Yeaw. Brother, Tim Fedeli. Many nieces and nephews. Many close friends whom he considered family. Michael’s magnetic personality made him the life of every room he entered.

Known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and fierce loyalty, he touched countless lives. To his loved ones, he was not just a friend or family member—he was a protector, a confidant, and a rock.He spent his early years on the outskirts of Churchville, where he formed deep, lifelong bonds with friends he fondly called his brothers. His love for football began early, playing peewee for the Chili Lions and later for Churchville High School. It was during those high school years that he bought his first motorcycle—sparking a lifelong passion for riding that took him across the country more than once. Michael’s strength was tested early when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after high school—a battle he fought and won twice.

During this time, he discovered a love for woodworking and carpentry, honing his skills for nearly a decade. He eventually moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he founded Southern Deck and Fence with his son, Michael Jr., and built the business into a successful venture over 20 years. In addition to his career, Michael was a gifted storyteller. He spent over three years handwriting his fantasy novel, Kingdom of Hearts: Crystal of Fate, which was published in late 2024—a dream fulfilled through determination and creativity. After selling his business, Michael returned to New York to be closer to family. He continued to work in construction and carpentry, never losing his passion for building or creating. Even after being diagnosed with throat cancer in his late 50s, he defied the odds once again, displaying a level of strength and determination that inspired everyone around him. In his final years, Michael faced advanced pulmonary disease.

Though given just six months to live, he defied expectations and lived for another two and a half years—still riding motorcycles, still showing up for the people he loved, and never once giving up. He truly lived every day with purpose, courage, and a full heart.Michael Yeaw was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of man—a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, loyal friend, and unforgettable soul. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
