He was the son of the late Dewey "Bud" & Kathryn Young, and was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Young; his son, Steven Young; and his sister, Renay Young.
He is survived by his daughters, Miranda Young of Dalton, Holly Young of Dalton, and Nikki Young of Rocky Face; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael, Jr. and Pam Young of Rocky Face; his brothers, Marty Young and Eddie Whitener of Dalton; Grandchildren, Brandon Young, Morgan Young, Emma Hackney, Hope Stephens, and Nate Stephens; Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and cousins also survive.
The funeral services will be held at 1pm in the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Thursday February 16, 2023 with Bill Cloud officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday February 15, 2023 from 5:00pm till 8:00pm.
Interment will follow at Little Prospect Cemetery.
