Michael Garrett “Mike” Young at the age of 52 years young, passed away on June 3, 2024. He was born to Sherry Muir Starks and David G. Young on October 20, 1971, at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. Mike was a “Master” Automotive Body Technician for over 30 years. His love for his family and friends was immeasurable and loved without judgement and unconditionally. Mike loved attending his church “Elevation” and the companionship from his fur baby Mr. Snoopy. He is survived by his mother, Sherry Muir Starks, his father David G. Young (Pam), his “born of the heart children” Josh, Jayden, Eric, Madeline “Smiles”, his siblings, Sarah Trackwell, Bart Deakins, Jim Gillis, Christopher Ikemire, Michael Ikemire, Paula Plahitko, his unbreakable bond of family, Jonas Parks, Lee Young, Stephanie Ralph, Aunt Kathy and Uncle Bub. Mike has a myriad of nieces and nephews that loved him immensely. Mike was preceded in death by his brother Patrick Gillis and his fur baby Mr. Squiggles. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, 4:00PM to 8PM at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with funeral services on Saturday, June 8, 2024, 1:00PM. Jonathan and Hannah Keys, his nephew and niece will officiate the service. He will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery following the service.
