Michaela Jacqueline Marrone-Brewer, 30, of Elmira, NY passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on August 14, 2025. Michaela was born on February 8, 1995 to Michael Marrone and Stephanie Hoke. Michaela was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Carl and Dorothy Marrone, and aunts Susan Marrone Nelson and Dianne Marrone. In addition to her parents, Michaela is survived by her loving husband, Gregory Brewer, and her two beautiful children, Beckett Oliver and Elliott Quinn. She is also survived by her two siblings Carly Marrone and Jacob Marrone (Allison Beckwith), maternal grandparents Richard and Susan Hoke, aunt Maureen (Michael) Warren, uncle Steven Marrone, father and mother-in-law Gregory and Rhonda Brewer, and siblings-in-law Sabrina (Sheriff) Samateh and Jeremy Wilkes. Also surviving are many extended family members and cherished friends, and her family’s two dogs, Maverick and Berkeley.
After graduating from Oxford Academy High School in 2013, Michaela attended Elmira College and then completed her Master of Science in education at SUNY Oneonta. She went on to be a special education teacher at Bradford Central School District in Bradford, NY. Michaela was a passionate teacher and loved helping her students in the classroom.
Michaela loved taking family trips to Florida, Disney World, and Myrtle Beach. She also loved going to zoos and aquariums and was a frequent visitor of Animal Adventure Park. Michaela loved many different genres of music and enjoyed going to see her favorite bands in concert, especially Fleetwood Mac. Michaela enjoyed reading, crocheting, and playing board games. More than anything, Michaela loved spending time with her husband and children.
Michaela’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Alex and Temma VanFleet for their unwavering friendship and support over the past several years.
Friends and family may call at The Behe Funeral Home at 21 Main Street in Oxford from 12pm-3pm on Saturday, August 23 with a funeral service to follow at 3pm.
