Allen Family Funeral Options - PlanoMichaela Whatley was born April 19, 1996, in Wichita Falls, Texas and grew up in Carrollton, Texas.
Michaela had a love for all of God’s creatures and always stood up for those who were marginalized. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, listening to music, watching silly videos and playing Pokémon Go. She may have been small in stature, but she was a feisty one.
Although their time together was brief, she was over the moon for her nephews, Nash and Noah.
Michaela is survived by parents Michael and Michelle Whatley; brother and sister-in-law Nick and Ashley Whatley; nephews Nash and Noah Whatley; maternal grandmother Debbie Seese; paternal grandmother Rose Whatley; aunts and uncles Jamie and Terry Wheat, Val and Trent Topham, Jim and Donna Larsen and Greg and Katsue Whatley; cousins Jay Cash and Madison Kay (s: Greyson, s: Axton and s: Rhett), Courtney and Doug Murphy (s: Mason and s: Conor), Matthew and Bella Topham (s: Arthur), Jake Wheat, Ashley Wheat, Caitlin Topham, Lexie Karl (s: Henry), Madison Karl, Tyler Topham, Brayden Smith and a host of loving great aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Stephen Ray Seese and paternal grandfather Willard Whatley.
The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m., Monday, March 9, 2026, for a visitation at Allen Family Funeral Options with a celebration of life to follow at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow.
