Michal Lynn Allen , age 76, of
Forney, Texas, passed away on March 8, 2026. Just hours prior, his beloved wife of nearly 55 years, Berta Louise Allen, age 74, also passed away. Their lives were deeply intertwined in love, devotion, and family, and their passing together reflects the bond they shared for more than five decades.
Michal Lynn Allen was born on September 8, 1949, to Charles Edward Allen Sr. and Nell Gibson Allen. He was raised in
Wills Point, Texas, and graduated from Wills Point High School with the Class of 1968. He later attended Henderson County Junior College in Athens, Texas.
On May 21, 1971, Michal married the love of his life, Berta Louise Williams, in Dallas, Texas. He began his career at Sears, working in the warehouse as a forklift driver. After joining DSI Distributing as a warehouse manager, he eventually transitioned into sales and later management, where his quick wit and natural gift of gab helped him build a successful second career. Michal loved to spin a good story. Strong-willed and determined, he remained deeply devoted to the people and things that meant the most to him. He enjoyed watching sports, especially Staubach-era Cowboys football, Longhorn football, Astros baseball, and his granddaughters' softball teams, which he proudly coached. For more than 30 years, he faithfully cared for his wife with love and devotion.
Berta Louise Williams Allen was born on June 23, 1951, in Tyler, Texas, to John Wesley Williams and Reba Laverne Tomlin Williams. She was raised in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1969.
Berta was known for her loving and selfless nature. She was intelligent, even when others didn't always see what she saw. Early on she worked as a secretary at Sears before choosing to devote herself to raising their son, Matthew, as a homemaker while Michal built his career. She was an avid reader who enjoyed settling in with a good mystery, and she was an excellent cook who loved preparing meals for her family. Above all else, she remained deeply devoted to her family, faithfully supporting her son and grandchildren at countless sporting events, activities, and family gatherings. Her kindness, encouragement, and steady presence were felt by all who knew her.
Together, Michal and Berta built a life centered on family, faithfulness, and dedication to one another. Their marriage of nearly 55 years was a testament to enduring love and partnership.
They are survived by their son, Matthew Allen, and his wife Wendy; their four grandchildren, Julie Allen, Natalie Allen, Lauren Allen, and Madelyn Allen; Berta's sisters, Edith Williams and Dottie Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish their memories.
They were preceded in death by their parents; Berta's sister, Linda Patterson; and Michal's brother, Charles "Chuck" Allen, Jr.
Michal and Berta will be remembered for their devotion to one another, their love for family, and the quiet but powerful example they set of commitment, service, and enduring love.
A Funeral service to honor both of their lives is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. A visitation will be held one hour prior at 1:00 p.m. Both will be held at Mullin-Fuller Funeral Home, located at 205 Corky Boyd Ave. in
Wills Point, Texas. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery located in
Wills Point, Texas.
May their legacy live on through the family they cherished so deeply.
