Micheal (Mike) Sean Means, 51, of Billings, Montana, passed away on his birthday, April 6, 2025. Born in Dallas, Texas, to Dianna Lande Means and Quentin "JR" Means, Mike lived a life marked by creativity, kindness, laughter, and love.
Mike was a man who wore many hats throughout his life, but his most cherished roles were those of husband, father, son, brother, and friend. On June 12th, 2010, he married the love of his life, Wendy (Myers) Means. Together, they built a life full of laughter and devotion. Their greatest joy came in the form of their two children, Aria Means and Malechi Wood, who were the center of Mike's world. He adored being a father and poured his heart into every moment he spent with his kids.
Professionally, Mike found his calling as a locksmith-a career that suited his love of puzzles, problem-solving, and helping people. He proudly founded his own business, Aegis 406 Lock, and took great pride in serving his community with integrity and skill. It wasn't just a job to him-it was a dream realized.
Mike's soul was woven with music. A gifted songwriter and guitarist, he found peace and expression in the melodies he created. Whether he was strumming chords in a quiet moment or making up songs to make his kids giggle, music was a constant companion in his life. He had a gift for making people feel at ease and a laugh that could light up the darkest room. He made it his mission to bring joy to others-especially Wendy, whom he never tired of making laugh.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Quentin Means, whose memory he carried close to his heart.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wendy; their children, Aria and Malechi; his mother, Dianna Means; his siblings, Marnie Woodson, Darren Means, and Matt Means; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were all touched by his warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Chief Plenty Coups State Park, 1 Pryor Rd., Pryor, MT. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and honor the incredible man he was.
Mike's spirit, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely will live on in all who knew him. He was truly one of a kind.
ALWAYS.
