Lila Bohrer Obituary

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother Lila (Fox) Bohrer was taken into her Father's arms in heaven on August 18, 2025, surrounded by her family. Lila and her twin sister Lela were born in Park City, Montana on February 3, 1937, to Jacob and Elizabeth (Schreiner) Fox. She grew up on the family farm with her three brothers and five sisters and attended school in Laurel, Montana. There were many fond memories of her youth with some of her favorite being sitting with her siblings shucking corn, snapping beans and shelling peas.
It was a fateful night at the roller rink where Lila spotted a handsome young man from Iowa and declared she would marry that man. Harold and Lila were married on September 15, 1958. They settled in Billings, Montana, and were blessed with four children. Lila was an amazing mother and homemaker. She also was proud of her work outside the home at Mouat & Overfelt Attorneys at Law, Farmer's Union Central Exchange, and of course at Flowers by Edna.
Lila enjoyed many things in her life including baking, crafts, planting flowers, making floral arrangements, reading, crossword puzzles and collecting antiques. She and Harold made many friends during their time spent at garage sales and auctions. She also thoroughly enjoyed playing cards or any game in general. She enjoyed them much more however, if she was winning. Her ladies' card group was especially important to her. Lila and Harold were proud to be Charter Members of Grace United Methodist Church where she served as Co-Chair of the Church Rummage Sale and spent many hours volunteering.
Lila is proceeded in death by her parents, brother Billy, twin sister Lela and sisters Rosemary, Helen, Martha and Marion. She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Harold, brothers Bob (Roberta) and Carl (Gloria); children: Joel (Terri), Stephanie (Jeff Steingraber), Todd and Troy (Amy). Also surviving her are her grandchildren who she loved so very much: Jacob, Jessica, Tiana, Jordan, Sam, Brynn and Emma, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There are no words that can express the loss we feel at her passing. We will forever miss her loving heart and big hugs. Fly with the angels until we see you again. We love you. Morstest.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Grace United Methodist Church. Interment to follow service at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Billings, MT. Luncheon will be held following interment in the Fellowship Hall of Grace United Methodist. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Employee's Christmas Fund at Westpark Village at 2351Solomon Avenue, Billings, Montana, 59102.
