In Loving Memory of
Deacon Micheal Tyrone Williams
February 20, 1960 – October 10, 2025
Micheal Tyrone Williams was born on February 20, 1960 in Simsboro, Louisiana, to
Elvin and Eva Williams. A dedicated public servant, he joined the United States Army
after high school and served honorably for several years. After relocating to Mobile,
Alabama, he joined the Mobile Police Department and rose to the position of Chief of
Police, leading with wisdom, integrity, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to
justice.
A man of deep faith, Micheal Tyrone accepted Christ at a young age, being baptized
at Fellowship Baptist Church in Simsboro. He continued his spiritual journey in
Mobile, Alabama, where he served at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church as
trustee and mentor. Micheal Tyrone was ordained as a Deacon and served faithfully
in his church community. His spiritual leadership and generosity left a lasting impact
on all who knew him.
Micheal Tyrone was a 1978 proud graduate of Alma J. Brown High School. He later
attended Bishop State Community College, graduating in 2002, earning an
Associates degree in Criminal Justice. He earned his Bachelor's degree from
Faulkner University in 2004, pursuing his passion for law enforcement. He earned a
Master's degree from the University of Virginia in Criminal Justice and Police
Science. His influence shaped the lives of many young men and women through his
example of integrity, faith and leadership. Tyrone loved the LSU Tigers, often
spending every Saturday enjoying the football games and then taunting every
Aabama fan he knew. He enjoyed restoring old cars, breathing new life into their
restoration.
Micheal Tyrone's love story with his devoted wife, Vennette Williams, was one of
unwavering commitment and joy, spanning 38 years. They shared a loving, beautiful
marriage, where they choose each other every day, without condition or
convenience. Their life was built on compassion, commitment and connection.
Together, they built a family rooted in love and resilience. He was a devoted father to
his daughters, Nikisha Williams of Guttenburg, New Jersey, and Marquita Woodard
of Grambling, Louisiana. He was a proud grandfather to Ace, Zaya, and Zephany
Woodard.
Micheal Tyrone is survived by his wife Vennette Williams; two daughters Nikisha
Williams of Guttenburg, New Jersey and Marquita Woodard of Grambling, Louisiana;
three grandchildren Ace, Zaya, and Zephany Woodard; one brother Willie David
Williams of Grambling, Louisiana; sisters Genevieve Yearby of Houston, Texas and
Dr. Betty (Smith) Washington of Lake Charles, Louisiana; mother-in-law Johnnye B.
Peterson of Shreveport, Louisiana; two sisters-in-law Rosie Combs of Shreveport,
Louisiana and Rebecca Williams of Grambling, Louisiana; and one aunt Willie Mae
Pruitt of Grambling, Louisiana. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Elvin and Eva
Williams, grandparents Ace and Willie Bell Williams, Willie Nolley and Bessie Nolley,
two sisters Dorothy D. Gray and Barbara Ann Williams, and one brother Elvin
Williams Jr.

who were blessed to know him.Though he left this earthly life, his spirit lives on in the
hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Chief Williams. Your watch is
over, but your legacy endures..
