Michele "Shelly" Marie Biernat, of Jackson, Michigan,61, passed away June 13, 2025, at Henry Ford Hospital-Jackson. A graveside service and celebration of Shelly's life will be held at a later date.
Shelly was born on May 11 1964, in Jackson, Michigan to Robert Lee and Sandra Kay (Pennington) Guscinski. She graduated from Michigan Center Schools and then attended Baker College, graduating with an associate's degree in medical coding. Shelly married the love of her life, Joey Biernat, on May 19, 2001, and sadly he has preceded her in death. She will be remembered by her friends and family a person with many interests; especially when she was younger, which included bowling, softball, golf, water and jet skiing and crafting. She loved spending time on the lake with her late husband, vacationing at their time share in Florida, walking her dogs and getting together with her work friends for dinner.
Shelly will be missed by her siblings, Vicki Scott and Tim Guscinski; nieces and nephews, Jason (Jen) Scott, Elizabeth Scott, Jamie (Christian) Scott and Branden (Vanessa) Scott and many more relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sandra; and her husband, Joey Biernat.
