Michele Carpenter Obituary

Michele Rae Carpenter went home to be with Jesus on January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 28, 1963, in Tacoma, Washington, to Marilyn and Curt Heinz. Known to many as Shelly, she was a deeply devoted wife and a wonderful mother. She showed up fully for her girls, cheering at every sporting event and activity, going on countless field trips, and pouring herself into making their childhoods feel special and full of love.

Her work throughout life centered on serving others, something that came naturally to her. She was a dedicated friend, a sweet sister, and genuinely kind to everyone she met. Shelly loved special time with family, photography, and reading. She sang in the choir when she was young and especially loved Barry Manilow.

Shelly had a gift for creating meaningful traditions. She planned memorable birthday parties and Christmas mornings for her girls and cherished family trips to Pacific Beach, Disneyland, and Europe.

Shelly's faith was a steady presence in her life and a source of comfort and strength. She will be forever remembered for her gentle heart and the way she loved so deeply. With faith and hope, we look forward to the day we are reunited with her in Heaven.

Shelly is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Steve; her daughters, Kirstyn (Josh), Karissa (Don), and Kiera (Luke); her father, Curt; her siblings, Mike, Lori, and Kim; many loving nieces and nephews; her six grandchildren, Luella, Judah, Maeva, Eden, Wren, and Levi; and her beloved dog, Piper.
