Michele Gambardella-DeAngelis Obituary

Michele is survived by her daughters Kristen Robinson and Leah Stumpf, six grandchildren: Daniel and Nicholas Stumpf, and Jesse, Olivia, Emma, and Isabelle Robinson; her mother Theresa Gambardella, and three siblings: Regina Schulman, Frank Gambardella, and Peter Gambardella.
Michele was predeceased by her father Andrew.
Michele graduated from Tottenville High School. She went on to have a long-standing career at Staten Island Rapid Transit as a Rail Conductor and later as a Train Operator/Engineer. Michele was distinguished to be a part of S.I.R.T.'s first all-woman crew.
Beyond her professional life, Michele will be remembered as being generous, fun-loving, and always quick to laugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Friday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
