Michele N. Janowicz

Michele N. Janowicz, 62, of Spring Brook Twp. died Monday evening July 7, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She is the wife of Stanley T. Janowicz.

Born November 16, 1962 in Scranton, she was the daughter Helen J. (Marek) Hnatko and the late Donald Hnatko. Michele was a graduate of North Pocono High School. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Moscow for many years.

Michele, a vibrant soul and beloved matriarch, brought joy and warmth wherever she went. Known as the life of the party, Michele had a smile and laugh so infectious that they could light up even the darkest of days. A devoted wife for nearly 42 years, she found her greatest pride and joy in her children and grandchildren, who were truly the center of her world. Michele worked with dedication at Gertrude Hawks and the North Pocono School District, but it was her love of life, her passion for reading, and her unshakable spirit that made her unforgettable to all who knew her.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are her children: Jenelle Janowicz of Greene, NY, Justin Janowicz and wife Laurie of Spring Brook Twp., and Ryan D. Janowicz and wife Andrea of Walcott, ND; her sister: Christine Magnotta of Spring Brook Twp. ; grandchildren: Madison, Amelia, Julia, Rip, Lettie, Chase; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday July 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church Street, Moscow, PA with Rev. Thomas M. Muldowney, pastor as celebrant.

Entombment will be conducted at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Covington Twp. PA.

Friends and family may call on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA.
