Michele Potwin (nee Ring) of Taunton, MA passed away suddenly on Monday, December 4th 2023 with her daughters by her side at Morton Hospital. Born in Dorchester to Edward A. Ring and Jayne (Brooks) Ring. She lived most of her life in Taunton. She graduated Coyle-Cassidy in the class of 1975 and received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Bridgewater State College. She worked for the Department of Mental Health as a Residential Supervisor until her retirement.
She had many hobbies which included camping, watching and attending Nascar races, bingo, going on cruises, reading, and crafting. She made her presence known and knew how to have a good time with everyone she met. She collected rooster and chicken decor, sweatshirts, and tea cups. Above all she enjoyed spending time with and enthusiastically talking about her grandchildren and animals. She is survived by her four children, Jesse R Potwin of Belmont, Cory T Potwin of Watertown, Rebecca S Potwin of Taunton, and Danielle F Potwin and husband of Bridgewater. Additionally, she leaves behind her grandchildren, Patrick and Rylee, life long friend Sue T and Billy Saunders of Hamden, CT, her goddaughter Lyndsay Saunders, and her many friends that have become family.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O'Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Saturday, December 16th from 2-4pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Michele's memory may be made to Speedway Children's Charities (www.speedwaycharities.org)
