Michelle Floyd, of Oxford, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the age of 60. Mrs. Floyd was a joyful and spirited woman whose presence brought warmth to everyone around her. She loved her trips to the casino in North Carolina, where she enjoyed the excitement of the games, and she could often be found happily playing Bingo with friends. Family meant everything to her, and she cherished every gathering, especially the moments spent with her beloved grandbabies, who brought her endless joy.
Some of her happiest days were spent at the hunting camp, where she proudly earned the nickname “Fire Marshall” for her constant and caring attention to the fire. At home, her love extended to her loyal pets—her cherished cats and dog—who were always by her side.
Mrs. Floyd will be remembered for her lively spirit, her love of family, and the warmth she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamara Hinson; parents, Dave and Janice Keller; and brother, David Keller, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Floyd; daughter, Tabatha Barkley (Marcus); son, Tony Floyd (Michelle); 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Lisa Starks (Tim); as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Floyd will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to her service, from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M.
