Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferguson Funeral Home - Plain City on Oct. 8, 2024.
Michelle Linn Justus, 52, passed away on October 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 11, 1972, Michelle was known for her caring and loving nature, although she was also feisty and lived life as a self-proclaimed hell raiser.
Shell attended Monroe Elementary and Jonathan Alder High School before furthering her education at Clark State. She dedicated her career to caring for others, working as an EMT, Nursing Aide, and in disaster response. However, her true calling was mothering and homemaking, where she excelled in nurturing not only her three daughters but also the many 'orphans' she lovingly referred to as her own. Her home was a sanctuary of care and love, earning her the affectionate nickname "Momma Shell."
Surviving Shell are her mother, Debra Whited Fooce; daughters: Jessica (Will, Sr.) Miller, Stephanie Justus, and Maritza (Jevin) Long; grandchildren: Ambriona, Lillian, and Will Miller, Jr.; brothers: Mike and Tracy (Tanya) Fooce; nephews: Michael (Jenna) Fooce, Andy (Jenna) Fooce, Austin Fooce, and Paul (Rachel) Justus; niece Haylee Fooce; great-nephews Brayden and Bryar Fooce; great-nieces Brittlynn Fooce and her Emmy Sue Fooce; and special orphan Jennifer Gillis, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loved ones.
Shell was preceded in death by her husband William (Allan) Justus; father Mike Fooce; sister-in-law and partner in crime Mitzi Fooce; and grandparents Andy (Charlotte) Whited and Albert (Dorothy) Fooce.
Shell's hobbies included camping, crafting, and traveling, especially to Florida. She served as a 4-H Advisor and cherished the time spent with her children and friends. Known for never meeting a stranger, Shell's warm and open heart touched many lives.
