Michelle Dawn Riffe, age 54, departed this life and gained her wings on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, TX after a long 5 year battle with cancer.
Michelle is survived by her only son Colby Ray of Fort Worth, TX, her mother Roxanna Belcher Lester (Robert Lester), her sister Tracey and Timmy Copley, her nephews Tyler and Adam Copley, her step brother Mark Lester, her step sister Sherry Turner, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins from both the Riffe and Belcher families, her friends from both WV and TX, her boss Brad Edward’s and coworkers of U.S. Renal Care, and all of her chosen family from Texas. She is proceeded in death by her loving father Smith (Joe) Riffe, Grandparents E.C. and Okla Belcher, Grandparents Mervyn and Eppie Riffe, Uncles Johnny Belcher, Doug Riffe, Bilton Riffe, Robert Riffe, Darrell Riffe, Gene Green, sister Anna Marie Landreth Rodriguez, cousin Mary Wilson Johnston, and many other loved ones.
Michelle was born May 1, 1970 in Bluefield WV to Roxanna Belcher Lester of Falls Mills VA and Smith (Joe) Riffe of Falls Mills VA. She was a proud member of the BHS marching band and graduated from Bluefield High School in 1988. Michelle and her son Colby moved to Fort Worth Texas in September of 2016 where she found her passion working in dialysis and being able to help others in need. She was a loving, passionate person who embraced anyone and everyone she could. Her compassion and capacity to love and accept others without hesitation lead her to become an inspiration to everyone she met.
Her services will be held, Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 2pm with a viewing from 1pm-2pm at Craven Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV. Services will be officiated by Michael Belcher, Denver Riffe, and Michael Riffe. Michelle will be laid to rest by her nephews, Tyler and Adam Copley, and her cousins, Kevin Belcher, Scott Riffe, Cary Belcher, and Rodney Riffe. Proceeding the services, Michelle will be laid to rest to her Daddy at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bluewell WV, with gravesite services to follow. All who knew her are welcome to attend and celebrate the wonderful life of Michelle (Mama) Riffe.
