Michelle Deborah Schermerhorn Age 69 of Sherrodsville, Ohio passed away the afternoon of December 5th, 2022, surrounded by loving family and friends. Michelle was born June 29th, 1953, the daughter of the late Bob Williams and Sandy Wylie Bell in Columbus, Ohio.
She was a 1971 Graduate of Malvern High School. She graduated from the Canton City Practical Nurse Program and practiced nursing for over 40 years. She worked as an LPN for Aultman Hospital and for Dr. Iqbal Choudry MD-Pediatrician in Canton. Later she also worked for and managed the medical offices of Dr. Stanley Bertman MD in Canton. In 2000 she moved to Bradenton Florida and married her high school sweetheart Dan Schermerhorn. She continued her nursing career in Florida at Manatee Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Bradenton. She retired from JSA Healthcare in 2018 as a Case Manager. To those who knew her well she was Debi and she answered to Mimi when her grandchildren came along. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, quilting, sailing with her husband, singing, and dancing, professional baseball (Cleveland Indians and Tampa Bay Rays) sunsets, 80's music and movies. She made the best ever spaghetti, tuna noodle casserole and macaroni salad. Her children will forever cherish singing along to the American Top 40 and Casey Casem on Saturday mornings. Michelle loved to help people. For several years, she was a Notary Public. She spent her spare time marrying people all over the beautiful gulf beaches of Florida with her husband Dan in tow to take the photos.
She was preceded in death by her Stepfather Victor Bell, Mother Sandy Wylie Bell, Father Robert (Bob) Williams, half-sister Connie Glazer and Grandson Kyle Chandler. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Jay (Dan) Schermerhorn, Children Marci Rohrer-Woods (Lamar Stanton), Michael (Misty) Rohrer, Heather Minster-Wingerter and Kimberley (Christopher) Martin.
