Michelle R. Sowatzke

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Michelle Sowatzke, who left us on January 13, 2024 at the age of 62. Michelle was a beloved individual who touched the lives of many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Rose Bongean and brother Brice. Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Joe, who was her rock and constant source of support throughout their 23 years of marriage. She was also survived by her stepdaughters Angie Sowatzke (Kevin) and Tammey Navarre (Mike), as well as her grandchildren, Payton, Allen and Hunter who were an integral part of her life. She cherished the moments spent with them and leaves behind beautiful memories. Michelle is further survived by her sister, Rebecca Bongean, nieces Leah Stone and Kahla Nemoure (Bryan) and great-nephews, Lyle and Kade. Michelle touched the lives of numerous other family members and friends who were blessed by her kindness, generosity, and warm spirit. We invite all who knew and loved Michelle to join us in celebrating her life and remembering the impact she had on each of us. Her memories will forever be etched in our hearts as we carry forward the love she shared with us.
