Mr. Chuck Boelk of Harrisburg departed this life on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, at the age of 62.
He was born April 7, 1963 in Freeport, IL, the son of Meryl Boelk and Katherine Boelk.
Chuck was a jack of all trades. Through the years he was a cheesemaker, a cattle farmer, a crawfish farmer, and had worked for Massengill Farms for over 15 years. He married Karrie Shadwick on September 26, 2016, after beginning a relationship in 2006. They enjoyed almost 20 years together. He enjoyed fishing and vacationing. He was preceded in death by his father, Meryl Boelk and a stepdaughter, Deshae Shadwich.
He is survived by his wife Karrie Boelk of the home, 2 children, April Schumacher (Bradley) and Josh Boelk (Lindsey), all of Wisconsin, 3 stepchildren, John Shadwich of Trumann, Krystal Shadwich of Trumann, and Melany Shannon (Corey) of Harrisburg, his mother, Katherine Boelk of Illinois, 5 siblings, Helen Jepsen (Randy) of Harrisburg, Matt Boelk of Illinois, Chad Boelk of Illinois, Meryl Lee Boelk, Jr. of Illinois, and Mark Boelk of Illinois, and 16 grandchildren.
Gregg-Weston Funeral Home of Harrisburg has been entrusted with all arrangements. Chuck will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
