Micki Darlene Icenogle was born September 28, 1951, to Floyd and Mary Icenogle in Lincoln, Arkansas. She attended high school in Prairie Grove, AR, graduating in 1969. With the desire to be a school teacher, she attended Southwestern Adventist University and graduated in 1973 with a double degree in Elementary Education and English.

Right after graduation, Micki was hired by the Arkansas-Louisiana Conference and taught church school in Fort Smith, AR. It was the beginning of a career in teaching that lasted 32 years, to be interrupted only in the care of her two small boys, and then a devastating fall in 2011 that shattered her left shoulder and broke her right knee cap to end up with an early retirement in 2012. It was during the busyness of teaching and raising her family that she earned her Master’s in Education Degree.

On September 15, 1974, Micki married Stephen Orian, the love of her life. In January of 1975, when her husband was hired as a pastor in Fort Worth, Texas, Micki became a pastor’s wife who was not only deeply devoted to her husband but also devoted to his ministry and actively participated in various leadership roles within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Micki and Stephen were blessed with the birth of two sons, Benjamin and Matthew, that became Micki’s passion. She lavished her life and love on her sons, providing every opportunity that she could give for their physical, mental, and spiritual development. Though distance made it more difficult, it was that same love and devotion that she had for her five grandchildren.

Besides enjoying travel that took her to 48 states across the US, she thoroughly enjoyed her three trips to Ukraine, besides visiting Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxemburg, England, and Netherland.

The last several years of her life brought health issues that prevented her from doing the things that she loved most—cooking, taking care of her home, travel to visit members of her family, and participation in the life of her church. In spite of times of intense pain, she clung to her faith in God that He would sustain her. She passed to her rest peacefully at home on July 2, 2025. She will be laid to rest in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She is survived by her husband Stephen Orian; two sons Benjamin Orian and wife, Silvia, and Matthew Orian and wife, Nicole; five grandchildren, Dominic, Jacob, Hailey, Siena, and Madison; and sister, Paula Thomas and husband David; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
