Miguel David Luque, a man of laughter and boundless generosity, embarked on his final road trip on October 6, 2025, leaving the stage of life as unexpectedly as he lived it, with the kind of dramatic exit worthy of a Hollywood movie. Born in the sun-drenched city of Los Angeles, California, on August 12, 1969, Miguel's story began and, in a twist of fate, also ended in the City of Angels, a place he adored and called home throughout his 56 years of life.
With a heart larger than his shoe collection - and that's saying something for a man who loved his Jordans more than most love their pets - Miguel was the epitome of what it means to be loving, funny, and generous. His humor was as infectious as the bass line of his favorite tunes, and he had the uncanny ability to turn even the mundane into a moment worth remembering. As Robin Williams once said, "You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." Miguel lived by this adage, spreading his unique spark wherever he went.
Miguel's legacy is carried on by his beloved wife, Alliena Wilton-Luque, his children, Dominique Juanyea Mosley, Ahmad Malik Luque, and Rajui Da'quan Wilton, as well as his adored grandchildren, Ezekiel King Mosley and Kaio Jesus Luque. His larger-than-life presence also remains in the hearts of the many aunts, uncles, and cousins who were an integral part of his extended family. He now joins the family's patriarchal and matriarchal beacons, his mother Guadalupe Luque, and his grandparents, Jesus and Helen Luque, in eternal rest.
Miguel was a man of simple pleasures and a high school education that never stopped him from mastering the highways as a skilled truck driver, a career he took as seriously as his passion for family outings, vacations, and, of course, movie marathons. A devout Christian, he lived by the principle that laughter was God's sunshine, and he made sure to shine that light on everyone he met.
His love for music was only matched by his passion for shoes - specifically, a fresh pair of Jordans that he argued were essential for any occasion, be it a family barbecue or a quiet night at the movies. Miguel believed that life was a grand adventure, one that should be experienced with both the heart and the soles.
In a world that often takes itself too seriously, Miguel was a breath of fresh air, a reminder that life is better when you're chuckling.
Miguel David Luque's story may have reached its final chapter, but the joy and laughter he shared will continue to echo in the lives of those who knew him best. His was a life well-lived, full of joy, love, and an enviable collection of sneakers. As we bid him farewell, we imagine him kicking back in the great beyond, a pair of celestial Jordans on his feet, ready for whatever adventure comes next.
