Viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the Jones Harkins Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2024 at the Jones Harkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Byron Vinson officiating. The burial will follow at Baldwin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Adams, Jeff Pate, Zach Hulsey, and Kerry Johnston. Honorary pallbearer Lawrence Wood.
Mike was born on August 1, 1941 in Wilburton, Oklahoma to George Samuel Bambeck and Ollie Jewel (McCoy) Bambeck. On July 4, 1964, Mike married the love of his life, Shirley Barry, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wilburton.
Mike graduated from Panola High School with the Class of 1959. He joined the United States Army on October 8, 1963 and received an honorable discharge on October 7, 1965. Mike worked as a Barber, at the Congoleum Plant, in the oil field, and finally at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and retired after 20 years. His free time was spent working in his shop, watching OU football, hunting, and Nascar.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Barry) Bambeck; two sons: Michael Bambeck, and Matthew Bambeck; his parents: George and Ollie Bambeck.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Heather Hulsey and husband, Zach of Owasso; daughter-in-law, Michelle Bambeck of Wilburton, grandchildren: Samantha Chavarria and husband, Eduardo of McAlester, and Mikey Bambeck and wife, Desiree of Wilburton; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Beth Ann Wood and husband, Lawrence of Wilburton; sister-in-law, Lisa Carothers of Spokane, Washington; and other family and friends.

A memory of Mike was the time Mike and Robert my now x went hunting and got a buck and they put it out in shed and they was going back hunting and they told us they was going to take us out. So Shirley and I got out there and skinned it out and left the head out there. And we cut it up and packaged it up. They came back said we have to go skin that buck. The look on their face was priceless when they opened the door and all that was there was the head looking at them no went didn't get to go out lol
