It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, husband, papa, brother, uncle and friend, Don Michael Christensen (Mike) born on April 2,1957 to Harley and Naomi Christensen. Mike passed away at his home in Kaysville on January 6, 2025.
Mike was a very hard worker excelling in his carpentry skills. He retired from Wadman Corporation in October 2023.
He met Lanette Beagley while in high school at Davis High and instantly fell in love with her. They were married on March 22, 1975. One week later he and his best friend, Dennis Crapo joined the army and left for boot camp. Mike was honorably discharged due to a knee injury. Mike returned home and he and Lanette started their family having three kids: Sarah, Shawn, and Dakota.
Mike loved camping! In his younger years he enjoyed camping and fishing on the Bear River with family and friends. Later on, he loved his camp at Laplata where he met and gained lifelong friendships while playing horseshoes. Mike also loved trips to Wendover, playing the slots and enjoying many concerts.
Lanette's passing in 2015 left a huge hole in his heart, We are sure it was a wonderful reunion when they saw each other again.
On one of Mike's excursions to Wendover, he met Angie Larsen. They dated and fell in love. Angie was his sweetheart, and he loved her dearly. She made him so happy. They were married on January 21, 2021.
Mike leaves behind his sweetheart, Angie Christensen; Daughter, Sarah Christensen sons, Shawn Christensen and Dakota Christensen; Stepdaughter, Alyssa; Stepsons, CJ and Francisco; Grandkids, Hunter, Taysen, Ranger, Dirk, Mateo, Cole, Conner, Kinsley, Azaila, and Lorenzo; brothers Dee (Hazel) and Ned (Sue), sisters Kathleen and Jill; mother and father in-law John and Cindy Collier and mother in-law Kim Peterson; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Naomi; Wife, Lanette; brother, Kevin; nephew, Rob; nieces, Wendy, Jody, and Lacie; sister-in-law, Debbie.
The family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring love during this difficult time.
