Mike McWhorter Obituary

Born in Mobile, AL, Mike is the son of the late John and Varina McWhorter. Mike served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era. He worked as an Industrial HVAC mechanic for 40 years. In his free time, Mike enjoyed fishing, making wine, cooking a few favorite recipes, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Patricia McWhorter; daughters, Norval Shaffer, Ansley Cooley, Amy Pirie; grandchildren, Ross Cooley, Spencer Cooley, and Delilah Cooley.
A private memorial service is planned for the end of March.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All for Paws Animal Rescue in Pawleys Island, SC
Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel is serving the family.
