Mike Stuckey

Mr. Michael Norman "Mike" Stuckey, 69 of Hartwell, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on May 13, 1956 in Dublin, GA, he was the son of the late Norman Joseph "Billy" Stuckey and Almaleen Mullis Stuckey. Mike received his BBA from Georgia College and was most recently employed as a real estate agent for Red Clay Properties. Mike started his career at C & S Bank in Athens, GA, where he met his wife, Carey Lynne. Then worked for the Bank of Hartwell where, after it became Northeast Georgia Bank, he became Senior Vice President.

First and foremost, Mike was a loving husband and father, and the best "Poppy" to his granddaughters. Mike was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, as well as a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Hartwell, the Hartwell Rotary, and Hart County Recreation Authority. Mike was also an avid golfer and held memberships at both the Hartwell Golf Club & Cateechee Golf Club.

Survivors include his wife: Carey Lynne Vandiver Stuckey; son: Michael Stuckey of Athens; two daughters: Amanda Stuckey of Greenville, SC, and Mallory Stuckey Thorington (Garret) of Alpharetta, GA; one brother: Tim Stuckey (Katrina) of Watkinsville, GA; and four grandchildren: Emmy Jean, Kirkley, Skylar, and Palmer Thorington.

It was Mike's wishes to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held Monday, December 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker and Dr. Stuart Lang officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in the church fellowship hall.
