Mike Talbot

Mike Talbot was born on July 16, 1936, in the hot and dry landscapes of West Texas. He passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, in Denton, Texas, leaving behind a legacy marked by kindness, love, and laughter.

Mike was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Jody Talbot. Their partnership served as a testament to unwavering support and companionship. Together, they shared both joyous moments and life’s challenges, demonstrating resilience and solidarity that inspired those around them.

Mike is now reunited with his parents, Glen Talbot and Opal Talbot, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Jody Talbot, sons Mark Talbot, Dr. Scott (Susannah) Talbot, grandchildren Amanda (Wyatt) French, Emily Talbot, Michael (Kara) Talbot, great grandson Joseph French, and sister Vera Holloman.

Friends and family are welcomed to gather to honor Mike's life at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors located at 2025 W University Dr, Denton, Texas, 76201. A visitation will take place on February 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. All are invited to Roselawn Memorial Park following the service. 

Although we are greatly saddened at his passing, we celebrate that Mike is now seeing Jesus face to face and truly understanding fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11).
