Don Michael Ross

Mar 31 1966 - Feb 06 2026 Feb 06 2026

Don Ross, 59, of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Don was born on March 31, 1966, in Wertheim, Germany to Gitta and Mike Ross and was raised in Garland, Texas. He graduated from Berkner High School in Richardson and went on to attend the University of North Texas, where he studied business. Following college, Don built a successful career in international business and trade.

Don had a lifelong passion for experiencing different cultures. He lived in Hong Kong for more than eight years, where he met the love of his life, Kris. The two were married in 2007 and made their home in McKinney, Texas. Together, they shared a love of travel and enjoyed exploring the world side by side.

A devoted husband and father, Don cherished time spent with his family and friends. He enjoyed visiting local pubs with Kris, spending time outdoors in Bonham, and sharing time with friends. Don was an avid car enthusiast and spent many Saturdays over several years at the go-kart track in Denton, proudly supporting his nephew and helping work on his kart for races. He also had a deep love for music and attended many concerts with his wife throughout the years.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Kris Ross; his daughter, Ashley Ross; his mother, Gitta Ross; his sister, Natascha Halley and her husband, Bryan; his nephews and niece; his uncles, Klaus, Ricky, and Michael; and his aunts, Karen and Nancy. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Ross.
