Michael William Youravich, age 81, of Rineyville, Kentucky, passed away on July 22, 2025, at Bluegrass Assisted Living, where he had resided for the past two and a half years.

Born on March 10, 1944, in Augsburg, Germany, Michael entered the world in a bomb shelter during a World War II bombing raid.

Throughout his life, Michael enjoyed a diverse career, working at E'town Laundry, owning a chain of Jiffy's Burgers restaurants, and later building a career in both new and used auto sales and the trucking industry.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carolyn Elaine (Frakes) Youravich, and his parents, Frances and Joseph Youravich.

Michael is survived by four children: Shauna (Allen) Miller of Lawrenceburg, KY; Shaun (Michelle) Youravich of Elizabethtown, KY; Shane (Amy) Youravich of Sellersburg, IN; and Shea (Ashley) Youravich of Rineyville, KY. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren: Tegan (Assaf) Miller-Gleizner, Trenton Miller, Tanner Miller, Mikale Youravich, Marissa (Andrew) Youravich Shufelt, Collin Youravich, Hailey Daugherty, Peyton Daugherty, Kayla Daugherty, and Waden Daugherty. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Dallas Miller, Lawson Shufelt, and Gunnar Shufelt.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Monday, July 28, 2025 at Chism Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Youravich will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 28, 2025 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made through donations to the Alzheimer's Association at https://donorservices.alz.org.
