Mikhail Braginsky, age 94, passed away on February 11, 2022, with his daughter by his side. Preceded in death by parents, Yefim and Klara Braginsky; spouse, Zlatina Braginsky; brother-in-law, Aron Kabakov; sister-in-law, Tsilya Kabakova; other relatives perished during the Holocaust.
Survived by his daughter, Nina (Brian) Sinykin; granddaughter, Svetlana (Scott) Shugh; great-grandchildren, Alina and William; nephew, Aleksandr Kabakov; niece, Svetlana Kabakova (Yuriy Lyubliner), their children, Marina Lyubliner, Mila (Shawn) Larkin, and grandson, Riley; cousins, Boris and Mikhail (Valentina) Rozengurt, and their families; brother, Anatoliy (Faina) Braginsky, and their family; and other relatives and friends. Barely escaping Nazis in Kiev during the WWll, he started his work career at 14 years old as a Machine Tool Operator in Siberia. In Minneapolis, he volunteered as a Senior Companion with Lutheran Social Service and taught many people how to drive. He enjoyed playing pool, chess, photography, cars, and dancing the Tango. He was very proud of his accomplishments, but also the achievements of his family, and took pride in his granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
