Mrs. Mildred Louise Tilley Berrier, 77 of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 29, 2025, at Colonial Home Care in Mount Airy. She was born on December 28, 1947, in Surry County to the late Terry and Alice Hensley Tilley. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all. Mrs. Berrier retired from Surry County Schools Nutrition department. Mildred and her late husband Garry loved to get out and ride on Garry’s Harley Davidson. She also loved everything Elvis and loved to dance. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Brian Wagoner; grandchildren, Kourtney Wagoner, Montana Berrier, and Santana Berrier; great grandchild, Kayden Stokes; brother, Howard Tilley; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Berrier was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Garry Lee Berrier; son, Curtis Lee Berrier; four sisters, Helen Key, Ruby Robertson, Shirley Hiatt, and Phyllis Hiatt; three brothers, James Tilley, Glenn Tilley, and Paul Tilley; and by two infant brothers. A service of worship and celebration of Mrs. Berrier’s life will be held at a later date. The family would like to say thank you to the staff at Colonial Care, Tina Leonard of Liberty Home Care, and Mountain Valley Hospice for all of the love and care given to Mildred during her illness.
