Mrs. Mildred Lois (Simpson) Brown, aged 96, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born July 08, 1929, in Fountain Hill, Arkansas, to parents, Reverend John N. Simpson and Mary Elizabeth (Hoover) Simpson.

Mrs. Mildred Brown was an employee of the Union Bank of Mena, retiring after 40 years. Mildred was a proud member of Salem Baptist Church at Nunley and will be missed by the congregation.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Brown; brother, Hollis Simpson; nephew, Dr. Sidney Simpson; daughter, Shirley Brown and partner, Wayne Clement; and by several half brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Dr. Steve Brown; grandson, Michael Brown; granddaughters, Amanda Brown-Thomas and husband Quentin, and Angie Brown; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn, Shirley, and Alice; niece, Marilyn Hopkins, and by her good friends, Hans Gruber and Connor Thomas.

Cremation arrangements for Mrs. Mildred Lois (Simpson) Brown are entrusted to Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Salem Baptist Church in Nunley, Arkansas.
