He was born October 24, 1934, in Olney, Illinois to Vern L. Robinson and Alma E. Rogers Robinson. Roger served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army. He enjoyed HAM radio as one of his favorite hobbies. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vern and Alma Robinson. Roger is survived by his wife, Claydine Robinson; son, Roger V. Robinson; daughter, Dixie Ann Robinson; grandchildren, Jennifer Smith, Kevin McMullen, Megan Robinson; great-grandchild, Shelby Smith; caregivers, Tawana and David Gilbert.
A private burial will be at the Nunley Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.
