It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ramaie Gilbert Robinson, who left us on September 30, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on February 1, 1958, in Paragould, Arkansas, Ramaie was a beacon of warmth and friendship in the lives of many.
Ramaie was a proud graduate of Paragould High School, where he was known not only for his dedication to education but also for his talents in sports, particularly as a football player, and his remarkable skills as a frisbee player. Following his high school years, Ramaie's work took him on various journeys across the country, particularly focused on cooling towers and pipelines. He then dedicated 35 years and retired from KNL Holdings (established as Peerless) in the manufacturing industry.
Despite the demands of his job, he always made time for the things that brought him joy. Every Christmas, he volunteered to tow the Santa House from the storage facility at Peerless to Downtown Paragould where locals could go for a picture with ole Saint Nick. An ardent lover of the outdoors, Ramaie cherished weekends spent fishing, duck hunting, canoeing, and kayaking along the scenic Current River. His adventurous spirit was infectious, inviting friends and family to explore the beauty of nature alongside him. He especially loved the Norfork Lake trips with his rowdy Dr. Pepper gang.
Ramaie was known for his unwavering loyalty; if you were his friend, you could count on him for life. He had an innate ability to uplift others and always offered a helping hand to those in need. His laughter, kindness, and generosity will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether enjoying a game of pool or exploring local flea markets in search of brass treasures, Ramaie's laughter and good humor filled every moment.
Ramaie was preceded in death by his parents, James "Jim" Robinson and Norma Robinson, and brother, Terry Robinson.
Ramaie is survived by his sister, Rene Robinson English of Texas; his aunt, Wilma Horne; niece, Kari Walker Roach (Brian) of Texas; nephew, Trevor (Kristen) Walker of Colorado; and cousins, Donna Seevers, Danny Horne, Cindy Brummett, Jackie Mink, Sharon Hatch, Hal Thompson, Rob Robinson, Rick Robinson, Desiree Robinson, Randy Robinson, Robin Goliff, Sonja Fitterer, Julie Longroy, Kathy Longroy, Darla Longroy, Dennis Rowe, and Danny Rowe.
A visitation will be Monday from 12-2 PM at Heath Funeral Home. Friends and family are encouraged to gather and share stories to honor Ramaie and celebrate his life.
As we remember Ramaie, let us carry forward his spirit of friendship and kindness, embracing one another as he always did.
