Peggy Ann Cardwell, age 83, of Opal, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025, at her home. She was born on Wednesday, August 19, 1942, to Robert and Pauline Casseday in Kingwood, West Virginia.

Peggy was a woman whose life radiated love, integrity, and hospitality. She approached everything she did with honesty and grace, leaving a legacy of kindness and strength. A devoted wife and first-class mother, Peggy built a home filled with love, laughter, and happiness, always ensuring her children had everything they needed. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she lovingly prepared her famous cheese soup, turkey and dressing, and, come summertime, her beloved fried okra. Peggy's faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and she lived as a faithful Christian, sharing her love for God with her family and friends. She will be remembered not only for her warm meals and welcoming spirit but for the love she poured into everyone she knew.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Roche Cardwell of the home; three sons and daughter in law, Roche Cardwell II of Houston, Texas, Derrek and Ashley Cardwell of Austin, Texas and Dustin Cardwell of Los Angeles, California; one daughter, Melanie Oliver of Prescott, Arizona; one brother, Bob Casseday of Palo Pinto, Texas; one sister, Connie Bailey of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Jaden Cardwell and Kinya Cardwell both of Austin, Texas, Karma Cardwell and America Cardwell both of Houston, Texas and Logan Oliver of Prescott, Arizona; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
