Mildred M. Butterbaugh, 89, of Chillicothe, passed at 11:59 Sunday, August 10, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born January 8, 1936, in Vinton County, Ohio, to the late Samuel and Almeda Detty McWhorter. On February 5, 1952, she married William H. "Tuck" Butterbaugh who died March 18, 1995.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Ike Park, of Chillicothe, Debbie and Keith Congrove, of Chillicothe, Cathy and Steve Brokaw, of Chillicothe, Kelli and Keith Sickles, of Ray and Patricia West, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Phil (Tina) Park, Nate (Chrissy) Park, Brad Park, Lisa (Richie) Staten, Crystal (Brian Clark) Congrove, Miranda Perry, Sara (Allen) Mick, Amber Baxter, Eric Kepler, Scott Butterbaugh, Mendy Butterbaugh, Michael Butterbaugh, Shelby Butterbaugh, Brittney (Charlie) Goodwin, Stacey (Cody) Lowry, Jacob Brokaw, Kali (Andy) Massie and Hope (Josh) Coffman; 34 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Chris Butterbaugh, of Chillicothe. She was predeceased by a sons, Roger Butterbaugh and Mike Butterbaugh, a grandson, Tod Park; 2 brothers; and 7 sisters.

Mildred retired from Harrison Elementary School where she had worked as a Janitor. She enjoyed spending her days sitting on the porch swing watching the birds and wildlife and playing with her many grandkids who she adored.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2025 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Harry Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Charleston Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
