Mildred (Millie) L. Davidson, age 92, departed this life peacefully in Springfield, MO on December 30, 2025. Millie was born in St. Louis, MO to Jacob Hayes and Alta Wolfe.

Millie was united in marriage to Bill Davidson in 1952. Together they shared 72 years of marriage and raised four children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family beyond measure. She built a life marked by devotion to family, church and service to others.

Millie was a dedicated long-time member of First Baptist Church in Springfield, MO where she gave her time and talents unselfishly, She served as a Sunday School teacher and many roles in WMU, church hospitality, visitation, assisted Bill with the Mission Housing and numerous other activities at church. She loved her church. Millie was also active in the Gideons and Meals on Wheels.

Millie was a loving, caring generous woman who loved the Lord. She and Bill loved to travel with their "van group" that consisted of close friends from their church. Millie also loved to crochet, read, sew, paint ceramics and was an avid walker. Above all she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, brother Donald Wolfe, sisters Gwen Thomas and Linda Jones. She is survived by her children, Connie George, Springfield, MO; Carla Nibert (Steve), Springfield, MO; Cheryl Mathis (David), Omaha, NE; and Bill Davidson (Sandy), Branson West. MO, 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, sisters Vivian Moss and Dodie Muschany, and many nieces and nephews.

Millie received abundant care, love and support from her community at Creekside Assisted Living.

A graveside service will be held at Hazelwood Cemetery at noon on Monday, January 5, 2026 under the care of Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charitable organization of your choice.
