Mildred Fitz, 94, of Medina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025. Born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, on February 10, 1931, she was the cherished daughter of the late John and Della Harris. Mildred was the beloved wife of 69 years to the late Clarence Fitz. Together, they built a life full of creativity, joy, and partnership-running a successful graphic design company in Indiana for many years. Their shared love of ballroom dancing and golfing brought them countless happy memories and enduring friendships. She was preceded in death by her siblings Glinice Russell, Dorothy Clingan, Helen Fairbanks, and Ronald Harris. Mildred is survived by a large and loving extended family, including many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom were touched by her warmth, wisdom, and gentle spirit. Mildred had a passion for bridge and spent many afternoons playing with dear friends. She was also a talented painter, known to capture beauty with a brushstroke or two. A devoted Cleveland Cavaliers fan, she never missed a game and cheered with unwavering loyalty. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Chapel, 6245 Columbia Rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. A funeral service will follow on Friday, September 5th, at 10:00 AM at the same location.
