Mrs. Mildred L. George, 80, of 113 Shady Oak Drive, died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. George was born March 17, 1925 in Coweta County, daughter of the late Cecil and Lurlie Howard Pendergrast. She was a member of East LaGrange Baptist Church and was a retired LPN from the West Georgia Medical Center. She loved quilting and her dogs, Dolly and Boggie.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Daniel Carter of LaGrange; two granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Lynn McClendon of Easley S.C. and Donna and Randall Holloway of LaGrange; three great grandchildren and spouse, Galen Holloway, Faith and Toby Bailey, all of LaGrange, and Zachary McClendon of Easley S.C.; three great-great grandchildren, Alex Holloway, Sydney Holloway and Skyler Bailey, all of LaGrange; two nieces, Sandy Tharp of Florida and Carolyn O’Neal of Wyoming. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dward Pendergrast.s

The funeral services for Mrs. Mildred L. George will be at 2:00 Friday at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. Michael Hornsby officiating. Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will be at her home and receive friends at the funeral home this (Thursday) evening from 6:00 until 8:00. Condolences may be expressed by signing our guest book at www.legacy com

I did not know Mrs. George but I know her family, My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I know it's hard to loose a love one. Just remember Mrs. George is in a much better place.

I did not know Ms. Mildred well, I only met her once, but she was so sweet and kind. I just moved into the neighborhood not too long ago. I wish I could have gotten to know her more. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.
